Fab Freebie: The Target Lady

I love today. Not just because it’s my 29th birthday, but because we are giving away a gift card to (drumroll, por favor)… TARGET!

We don’t really need to waste time reminding you guys how much we love Target (we’ve got about a million posts like this and this to prove it). I even created this graphic to try to convey how excited we are:

And while I always love a good opportunity to reference SNL’s Target Lady, this time I’m going to mention a different woman paired up with the red bullseye: HGTV’s Sabrina Soto. Sabrina is Target’s “Style Expert for Home,” which means she’s serving up design tips to to those of us who like affordable Tar-jay wares and coming home to a stylish space. She’s even got a bunch of tip-filled videos over on Target’s styleboutique blog.

    I don’t get to shop at Target a lot (the closest one is about an hour away) but when I do I could go on a serious shopping spree b/c everything is so awesome.

    im a target lady! i go there 2-3 days a week (oops). it helps that i can buy all of my baby stuff there AND they have the 5% off now with their redcard. favorite purchase ever, probably some thomas o’brien curtains i picked up a couple of years ago (for $40 a piece!). despite the price, i bought enough for about every window i had. i’ve moved twice since then, and they still suit my style. only wish i could buy a few more!

    I’m a target gentleman, I bought a great looking leather ottoman for $60 bucks. I use it as coffee table and put my feet up on it when I’m watching TV.

    I’m a target lady!

    I have so many favorite purchases, but one that has stood the test of time is a Shabby Chic dresser that used to live in our Master bedroom. at the moment it serves as a stylish storage piece in our entry closet that is a mini-mudroom of sorts. it is very well made. my (then) 3 year old painted it with an entire bottle of red nail polish & it was so well painted that even when I used acetone to get it off & removed a layer of paint, you can not tell the difference.

    I’m TOTALLY a Target lady!

    While shopping the semi-annual toy clearance sale (so amazing to stock up on birthday presents for the multitude of kid parties we are invited to), I discovered a Cuisinart Grind and Brew Coffeemaker tucked away in a back corner that was discounted to $25. It was out of the box, but in absolutely perfect condition. Along with the toys, it also came home with me. But I haven’t given it away as a birthday present.

    I’m a target lady! I once got a 5×7 rug for $3! It’s made of recycled tires (doesn’t feel like it though) and looks perfect in my son’s car-themed room.

    I’M A TARGET LADY!!

    Best thing I ever scored was the colorful area rug in my daughters nursery. It was on clearance and I HAD TO HAVE IT! Loved it every day since and have received so many comments from family and friends who love it and wonder where I got it. They don’t believe me when I tell them it was from Target!

    I’M A TARGET LADY! My favorite target buy at the moment is the slate gray comforter on our bed! I can’t go there without spending a hundred bones…Oh and the kids clothes clearance racks…LOVE!

    IM A TARGET LADY!!! My Favorite target buy to date is my dining room talbe and chairs picked up for half off.What makes it better is that My friends gave me a weird face when I said I got it from target and it still looks great with 4 kids and 5 years later.

    I’m from Minneapolis (home of Target) so it is hard to pick just one great find — I find awesome stuff there all the time. Their Holiday section is always awesome, lots of little gifts for everyone I know!

    Also, Sherri, you lok a lot like Sabrina Soto…anyone ever tell you that? For a second I thought you were her in those pics and announcing some sort of partnership with Target. Wouldn’t that be fun?

    I’m a Target lady! I don’t know if I can decide what my favorite Target purchase is…maybe my silver faux bois vase that I got half-price with a gift card last Christmas. Or the down throw pillows I picked up for $4 bucks a pop. They’re really inserts with a cover, so they are super versatile. Target clearance is the best!

    My most favorite item from Tar-jay is my storage ottoman. It makes the perfect concealed toy box in our living room and bonus… It was only about $50! Love that place. Seriously.
