Fab Freebie: Tile Shop ‘Til Your Drop

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

Random.org had quite the task of sifting through so many entries this week, but it has randomly selected our winner as… Kelley (who has so many ideas for how to use the gift card, including a fireplace surround, kitchen backsplash or master bath floor). Congrats!

Ready for this? It’s not only one of our biggest giveaways EVER, but it’s also a giant excuse-buster when it comes to that tile project that you’ve been putting off. This week The Tile Shop is giving one of you a whopping $1,500 prize. In case you think your eyes are playing tricks on you, allow me to demonstrate that they’re not:

TileShop Giveaway 1500

That’s enough spending money to snag over $1,000 worth of tile and still have enough to get all of the installation tools you might need to DIY the job. The Tile Shop has even put together a little shopping list for you – it includes buckets, a wet saw, a notched trowel, a margin trowel, a rubber float, a mixer bar, tile nippers, knee pads, rubber spacers, flexible grout admixture, grout, a sealer kit, caulk and thinset. Wow, that was a mouthful. But at least it’ll be a free mouthful for one of you!

TileShop Giveaway Board

  • PRIZE: $1500 (!!!) to spend at The Tile Shop
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “TILE ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what could use some fresh tile in your house? Wanna finally add that backsplash to your kitchen? Or is your shower begging for a new surround? Maybe your mudroom could use a prettier floor or your fireplace could stand to be updated?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, March 14th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • DISCOUNT: Save 10% with code YHL10
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of The Tile Shop.

TILE ME!! We would definitely use the tile for the kitchen. We are looking for a reason to start the renovation and this would be a nice motivator!

TILE ME! Oh god, my kitchen is in desperate need! We bought a foreclosure and a week after we moved in one of our long wall cabinets literally started sagging off the wall! It turns out that the whole length (including the microwave that functioned as the hood – which was too close to the stove to actually function) was held up by 2 stud screws and a nail. Our kitchen desperately needs some love!

TILE ME! The question should be, “What doesn’t need tile?” When our house was built, the tile was installed incorrectly. Every square foot is hollow underneath. This would be amazing to win!

We would for sure reno our only full bathroom which is currently at it’s original 1963 tile state of gold fleck ugliness! And maybe enough left over to get ride of the faux brick backsplash in our kitchen too…so much ugliness to get rid of!

Tile me! My teeny-tiny bathroom is in need of new old fashioned tile to bring it back to it’s 1930s original style. The current bubble-gum pink/mauve/grey tile is cracked and rust stained and icky, and previous 1980’s attempts to update didn’t work.

    TILE ME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and when I say me, I mean us!

My husband and I just accepted a counter offer on a house that we fell in love with last week!! It is most definitely a fixer up and will require a good amount of elbow grease and your blog has become our inspiration!

The fresh tile would be used to spruce up the kitchen which will be one of the first projects we tackle upon our April 30th closing date!! A back splash for behind the sink and stove will be perfect after we tear out a wall….. yes… our first project is going to be tearing out a wall!

On top of everything else! Winning would mean $1500 that could go toward another project or ahh heck how about toward food because we are officially on a very tight budget!

Holy moly, tile me! I need to replace the white tile in my kitchen/dining room/bathroom that has cracks in at least a half dozen of the tiles. How on earth am I supposed to keep a white floor clean without daily mopping? (That’s not gonna happen.) And the previous owners didn’t leave any info on where they got their tiles and don’t have any leftovers, so replacing the cracked ones doesn’t seem to be an option. Boo.

TILE ME!!! We would use it to redo our downstairs laundry/half bath. It’s currently stuck in the 80s… wallpaper, brass fixtures, etc. They actually “improved” it by taking out the laundry, putting it in the basement, and then installing a jacuzzi tub… all in the bathroom off the hallway next to the kitchen. So yes, they thought it was ideal to soak in a jacuzzi tub while baking cookies. Anyway, we would love to redo the room, bring back the laundry from the basement, and put down a nice tile floor. Or we could use it to redo our other two bathrooms on the to do list, also stuck in the 80s.
