Fab Freebie: Tile Shop ‘Til Your Drop

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

Random.org had quite the task of sifting through so many entries this week, but it has randomly selected our winner as… Kelley (who has so many ideas for how to use the gift card, including a fireplace surround, kitchen backsplash or master bath floor). Congrats!

Ready for this? It’s not only one of our biggest giveaways EVER, but it’s also a giant excuse-buster when it comes to that tile project that you’ve been putting off. This week The Tile Shop is giving one of you a whopping $1,500 prize. In case you think your eyes are playing tricks on you, allow me to demonstrate that they’re not:

TileShop Giveaway 1500

That’s enough spending money to snag over $1,000 worth of tile and still have enough to get all of the installation tools you might need to DIY the job. The Tile Shop has even put together a little shopping list for you – it includes buckets, a wet saw, a notched trowel, a margin trowel, a rubber float, a mixer bar, tile nippers, knee pads, rubber spacers, flexible grout admixture, grout, a sealer kit, caulk and thinset. Wow, that was a mouthful. But at least it’ll be a free mouthful for one of you!

TileShop Giveaway Board

  • PRIZE: $1500 (!!!) to spend at The Tile Shop
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “TILE ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what could use some fresh tile in your house? Wanna finally add that backsplash to your kitchen? Or is your shower begging for a new surround? Maybe your mudroom could use a prettier floor or your fireplace could stand to be updated?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, March 14th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • DISCOUNT: Save 10% with code YHL10
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of The Tile Shop.

I would love to do a tile backsplash in our kitchen. I was just talking about subway tile for that area yesterday!

    Tile Me!

Just moved into my new house and the laundry room needs new tile to replace the crumbling 1950’s linoleum. Also needs new tile in the shower-someone did a very poor upgrade and it looks terrible. It would be sweet to win since I am a single mom and have a very low budget for upgrades of any kind!

Tile Me!!! My kitchen backsplash, while not large, is quite naked right now. It’s very sad.
Also, I can feel what is surely to be some form of ugly pastel tile hiding underneath the tub surround in my bathroom. And not the good kind you could do some funky retro-inspired styling to.
I would looooooove to subway tile both.

    TILE ME! PLEASE!

Our bathroom is in desperate need of work. We moved in 5 years ago and immediately went to work pulling off the old 1980s wallpaper and to our dismay it left so much residue on the walls we have not idea how to fix it. We would love to be able to put in some nice tiles and are saving up to be able to do a complete bathroom renovation. I have had dreams of having a beautiful new bathroom with a tub I can soak in and tiles on the wall, it is ridiculous! This would definitely go a long ways toward our dream bathroom. Thanks for a great giveaway. Have been following you for as long as I can remember!

TILE ME! My mom’s bathroom badly needs a re-do but her funds are a bit limited so she’s been saving. Meanwhile, her bathroom really NEEDS a makeover because water is seeping under the tub. This prize would give her the opportunity to bite the bullet and start a reno. So, I’ll be helping my mom with tile in her bathroom if I won.

The bathroom shower also needs new tile. It’s so grody!

The kitchen needs a backsplash so bad too! It’s currently tomato red and clashes with everything! It makes my eyes bleed and what’s worse is that it was my paint color choosing mistake but for some reason the boysband (lol like boyfriend-husband – somewhere in between) LOVES it. We both think a nice clearish-green-white tile would look SO much better though!

Lesson here, kids: ALWAYS TEST SWATCH BEFORE PAINTING A WHOLE ROOM TOMATO RED!!!!

TILE ME, YHL, you’re my only hope. Every tiled surface in our 1960 bungalow needs a makeover, but none more so than the floor and shower surround in our bathroom. The grout is especially a hot mess – cracked, shrunken, impossible to clean.
