Fab Freebie: Tile Shop ‘Til Your Drop

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

Random.org had quite the task of sifting through so many entries this week, but it has randomly selected our winner as… Kelley (who has so many ideas for how to use the gift card, including a fireplace surround, kitchen backsplash or master bath floor). Congrats!

Ready for this? It’s not only one of our biggest giveaways EVER, but it’s also a giant excuse-buster when it comes to that tile project that you’ve been putting off. This week The Tile Shop is giving one of you a whopping $1,500 prize. In case you think your eyes are playing tricks on you, allow me to demonstrate that they’re not:

TileShop Giveaway 1500

That’s enough spending money to snag over $1,000 worth of tile and still have enough to get all of the installation tools you might need to DIY the job. The Tile Shop has even put together a little shopping list for you – it includes buckets, a wet saw, a notched trowel, a margin trowel, a rubber float, a mixer bar, tile nippers, knee pads, rubber spacers, flexible grout admixture, grout, a sealer kit, caulk and thinset. Wow, that was a mouthful. But at least it’ll be a free mouthful for one of you!

TileShop Giveaway Board

  • PRIZE: $1500 (!!!) to spend at The Tile Shop
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “TILE ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what could use some fresh tile in your house? Wanna finally add that backsplash to your kitchen? Or is your shower begging for a new surround? Maybe your mudroom could use a prettier floor or your fireplace could stand to be updated?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, March 14th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • DISCOUNT: Save 10% with code YHL10
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of The Tile Shop.

TILE ME!! I live in South Florida and we are living with the ugliest “Miami Vice” aqua and yellow 4″ tiles, complete with a monster of an ancient aqua jacuzzi bath that is so big our hot water heater can’t fill it. We are getting rid of the tub and replacing it with NEW TILE and separate sinks (necessary for a happy marriage).

p.s. I can’t believe how big Clara is getting.

TILE ME!!! Our tub surround is in need of a new tile job! We live in a pretty new condo, 5 years old, the grout is cracking and one of the tiles has chipped. I am pretty sure there is mold in the wall because of the crappy grout job. ERR….!!!

Our master bath desperately needs an upgrade – right now I stare at a PINK surround in a useless whirlpool type tub! really would like to upgrade to an oversized standing shower unit, maybe dual shower heads if we’re feeling crazy!

    TILE ME!

Man, what *couldn’t* use some new tile in my house? One thing I’d love to do is get rid of the tub in my tiny bathroom and replace it with a tile shower to make better use of the space. As it is, no matter what you do in the bathroom, you are always touching at least two pieces of “furniture” (tub and sink, toilet and tub, etc.), so having only a shower would be such an improvement!

TILE ME!!!! My husband and I just bought a 1940’s farm house. We are the definition of DYI. If we can do it to save a dollar, we will! This farm house had the orginial formica counter tops. Gross! We striped (with a paint scraper and elbow grese) the orginial formica counter top off so we could reuse the hardwood plywood underneath. We have not tiled yet because we need to finish painting the cabinets. So you can imagene how difficult it is having to work with a bare plywood counter top. If we won this give away we would use the tile to tile the counter tops, the new breakfast bar we installed and a backsplash. We would also use the tile to tile the master bathroom in the attic that we converted into a master suite. We take pictures of everything we do so we would be happy to share the pictures of the installation process and the finish work with you!!!!
