Fab Freebie: Tile Shop ‘Til Your Drop

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

Random.org had quite the task of sifting through so many entries this week, but it has randomly selected our winner as… Kelley (who has so many ideas for how to use the gift card, including a fireplace surround, kitchen backsplash or master bath floor). Congrats!

Ready for this? It’s not only one of our biggest giveaways EVER, but it’s also a giant excuse-buster when it comes to that tile project that you’ve been putting off. This week The Tile Shop is giving one of you a whopping $1,500 prize. In case you think your eyes are playing tricks on you, allow me to demonstrate that they’re not:

TileShop Giveaway 1500

That’s enough spending money to snag over $1,000 worth of tile and still have enough to get all of the installation tools you might need to DIY the job. The Tile Shop has even put together a little shopping list for you – it includes buckets, a wet saw, a notched trowel, a margin trowel, a rubber float, a mixer bar, tile nippers, knee pads, rubber spacers, flexible grout admixture, grout, a sealer kit, caulk and thinset. Wow, that was a mouthful. But at least it’ll be a free mouthful for one of you!

TileShop Giveaway Board

  • PRIZE: $1500 (!!!) to spend at The Tile Shop
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “TILE ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what could use some fresh tile in your house? Wanna finally add that backsplash to your kitchen? Or is your shower begging for a new surround? Maybe your mudroom could use a prettier floor or your fireplace could stand to be updated?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, March 14th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • DISCOUNT: Save 10% with code YHL10
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of The Tile Shop.

TILE ME! Let’s see… so many places in my house to tile… where would I begin? The upstairs bathroom has “lovely” travertine according to the listing but by that they meant cracked, uneven, yucky grouted, holes drilled into travertine. Or how about our basement laundry that’s filled with the lovely brown/ black checkerboard lamenant tile from the 60’s… Ok how about I just begin with it all! This would certainly help me make a dent!

For some reason, tile is the one reno project we have not gotten to yet (let’s be honest..due in large part to my ridiculous love of tile and obsession over what to put where) so we need to tile our powder room (marble, maybe, in a herringbone pattern), backsplash (those penny rounds…I think they might be exactly what we’re looking for!), kid’s bathroom (white subway with lime green glass accents?) and master bathroom (I think travertine or limestone, in varying sizes)! Whew…I’m tired just thinking about hauling all of that into the house! :)

TILE ME!!! Where do I not want new tile is really the question. I’d love to update/expand the tile in my entry and connect it to my dining area and kitchen/laundry room. Do a tile backspash (because the 6″ granite “backsplash” is just not cutting it). I’d do a tile surround on my fireplace, too. Ooooh, all the choices!

We’re renters and our landlord promised to fix the big hole in our kitchen floor… a year and a half ago! With this prize we could save him the “trouble” and just do it ourselves. Broken tile bits aren’t good for 15-month-old crawlers…

We are in the process of putting a new bath in downstairs and need new kitchen tile. This would be heaven on earth. I would love to be able to go in and pick out what I like instead of looking at prices first and then narrowing it down. Of course we always know that I will try to get the best deal possible, lol. Thanks for the giveaway.

We built our house with one of those cookie cutter home builders, and they completely lied to us about the kitchen backsplash! It was supposed to be a 3 inch lip around the counters, but they took the laminate all the way up the wall from countertop to cabinet! I hate it so much! I desperately want to rip it out and put something beautiful in its place!!!

Tile Me! With that much allowance, and since we already have a tile cutter and knee pads from doing our hallway, we’d save money already. Nine year old builder’s grade carpet is quite worn and in much need of replacing. I could tile my 3 bedrooms and our sunroom, backsplash the kitchen and bathroom… and maybe even my shower too (tiny house)!!! This would be a dream come true. Literally.
