Today’s moving day (wahoooooo!) so we thought we’d slap up this week’s giveaway this morning to tide you over until we have a moment to post some house-related updates. Oh yeah, and it just happens to be the biggest giveaway we’ve ever done. By a long shot.
So I’ll get to the point. It was almost exactly one year ago that I first used a wet saw. It was love at first site, er, cut. And today we’re sharing the love, thanks to some help from The Tile Shop. And boy is it a lot of love to share. $3000 worth of love to be exact.
You guys probably already know The Tile Shop as an awesome spot for tile, tiling supplies, and even free DIY support (both online and in stores). In fact, a lot of stuff for our bathroom remodel last year was purchased there (or borrowed from my dad, who had purchased it there). So if any of you need the kick in the pants to get your next tiling job started (kitchen backsplash? bathroom update?) here it is: TWO of you are going to win a $950 gift card to The Tile Shop and a deluxe wet saw valued at $550. Who’s suddenly got tile fever?
Here are all the deets when it comes to getting your chance at our biggest prize to date:
- PRIZE: This wet saw and a $950 gift card from The Tile Shop (valued at 3K, baby).
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “TILE ME!” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: … let’s gush about tile. What sorts of tile are you loving? Warm natural stone surrounding an open shower? Glam metallic subway tile on a kitchen backsplash? Or maybe a modern mosaic on a fireplace surround?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 15th at 8pm EST
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
- PRIZE SHIPS: The lower 48 United States
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
******************************
Before we get to the winners names, everyone should know that you automatically get $20 off any order over $200 through the holiday. Not too shabby, eh?
Our two extremely lucky winners (as selected by random.org) are… Nadia (who just starting a huge kitchen remodel) and Heidi Kruger (who’s looking to do subway tile in her kitchen and to re-tile two bathrooms) Congrats!
Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from The Tile Shop.

We just bought a new house, and have 2 bathrooms that could really use work. Never done tiling before, but it’s next on our diy list, so this would really come in handy! I’m dreaming of subway tile for the baths, and natural stone for the floors.

I like bright white subway tile and colorful glass tile.

Tile me! I love slate floors, personally. There’s something really appealing to me about natural materials inside a house. I don’t own a home right now, though. If I won I’d give the gift card to my Mom to redo her entryway and kitchen floors – as long as I get do all the tile cutting with my shiny new saw!
Beth in Utah says

Also, 1″ glass tiles always get me going.
Trish says
Tile Me! I would love a glass tile back splash in my kitchen!
Rachel says

I have always loved a picture I saw YEARS ago of a bathroom with the countertop done in 1″x1″ pale blue & green glass tiles. I think that would be lovely reinterpreted as framed art on the wall.
Sarah E. says

I’d love any kind of tile considering we don’t have any of the “real stuff.” Now I want to explore!

I am loving any kind of tile because the people before us in this house decided it would be ok with using carpet in the bathrooms. How gross! Anything neutral with darker grout would be wonderful!!! :)
Wendy says
TILE ME! I love tile! I am hoping to do a tile back splash in our kitchen! I don’t want to hire it done, so this would be perfect! I wouldn’t have to go rent one.
Cori says
TILE ME!
I would be happy with any tile! Need some new tile for the kitchen backsplash, new tile for the bathroom floor (currently has RED glazed tile, yuck!), new tile for the bathtub/shower, new tile for the utility room, new tile for the fireplace. Oh, I could go on :) Specifically, I love the glass mosaic tile. So pretty.
Thanks for the chance!

Lathen says
TILE ME! Definitely wanting some stone tile to blend in with my mid century home.
Laura S. says
TILE ME! I am loving the mix of turquiose glass tiles (either mosaic or subway sized) mixed with more natural tiles, like travertine. Or White porcelain subway tiles with a high gloss finish mixed with pencil thin glass tiles in a more neutral palate. I just can’t seem to get enough of glass tiles!

Oh my goodness- PLEASE tile me! I’ve been dreaming about recycled glass tile for my kitchen back splash! And new tile in our master bathroom! We’ve decided to move forward with an IKEA kitchen remodel, and our cabinets are being delivered tomorrow (which happens to be our 2nd wedding anniversary)! We didn’t have it in the budget to do a tile backslash so this would be the most amazing, mind blowing, happy dance inducing icing on the cake. I promise to share copious photos and videos of the finished project if we win!
Oh- and good luck today, Petersik family!
Hallie says
Tile Me, please! I’m not sure I have a specific tile dream in mind, but it would be fun to have a chance to figure it out if I win!

I just bought a house and the bathroom is in need of a major revamp. I am talking baby pink tile and maroon sinks, toilet, tub etc. Winning this give away would be amazing to say the least! It would help get the bathroom project started a lot sooner vs what we had planned.
Fingers crossed!

That metallic tile is totally funky, and I especially like the stainless steel look for a kitchen backsplash. That being said I don’t think I have the confidence to pull of such a bold look, but it looks soooo good!
