Today’s moving day (wahoooooo!) so we thought we’d slap up this week’s giveaway this morning to tide you over until we have a moment to post some house-related updates. Oh yeah, and it just happens to be the biggest giveaway we’ve ever done. By a long shot.
So I’ll get to the point. It was almost exactly one year ago that I first used a wet saw. It was love at first site, er, cut. And today we’re sharing the love, thanks to some help from The Tile Shop. And boy is it a lot of love to share. $3000 worth of love to be exact.

In fact, a lot of stuff for our bathroom remodel last year was purchased there (or borrowed from my dad, who had purchased it there). My husband and I tackled our first ever tile job over summer. We layed almost 500 sq. ft. of nice neutral ceramic tile in the basement. It was a challenge, but oh so rewarding when we finished. We are both excited to get started on the next tiling project. With 3 outdated bathrooms and a kitchen we could put that gift card to good use! I can imagine slate tile in the entry, white subway tile with glass accents in the bathroom, and tumbled stone for the kitchen backsplash. I’d love to sneak in some river pebbles somewhere too!

Not sure what type of tile I would use there… but I am so in love with tile these days – glass, metallics, vintage styles, all of it! The people we bought our house from re-did the bathroom in very traditional tile with this border that looks like twisted rope. So many people who come to see our house comment on how nice it is, but I HATE it.
I would love to change it out to something more modern, but I feel guilty destroying something that obviously took a lot of effort and money.
