Today’s moving day (wahoooooo!) so we thought we’d slap up this week’s giveaway this morning to tide you over until we have a moment to post some house-related updates. Oh yeah, and it just happens to be the biggest giveaway we’ve ever done. By a long shot.
So I’ll get to the point. It was almost exactly one year ago that I first used a wet saw. It was love at first site, er, cut. And today we’re sharing the love, thanks to some help from The Tile Shop. And boy is it a lot of love to share. $3000 worth of love to be exact.
You guys probably already know The Tile Shop as an awesome spot for tile, tiling supplies, and even free DIY support (both online and in stores). In fact, a lot of stuff for our bathroom remodel last year was purchased there (or borrowed from my dad, who had purchased it there). So if any of you need the kick in the pants to get your next tiling job started (kitchen backsplash? bathroom update?) here it is: TWO of you are going to win a $950 gift card to The Tile Shop and a deluxe wet saw valued at $550. Who’s suddenly got tile fever?
Here are all the deets when it comes to getting your chance at our biggest prize to date:
- PRIZE: This wet saw and a $950 gift card from The Tile Shop (valued at 3K, baby).
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “TILE ME!” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: … let’s gush about tile. What sorts of tile are you loving? Warm natural stone surrounding an open shower? Glam metallic subway tile on a kitchen backsplash? Or maybe a modern mosaic on a fireplace surround?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 15th at 8pm EST
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
- PRIZE SHIPS: The lower 48 United States
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
******************************
Before we get to the winners names, everyone should know that you automatically get $20 off any order over $200 through the holiday. Not too shabby, eh?
Our two extremely lucky winners (as selected by random.org) are… Nadia (who just starting a huge kitchen remodel) and Heidi Kruger (who’s looking to do subway tile in her kitchen and to re-tile two bathrooms) Congrats!
Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from The Tile Shop.

Tile Me! I would love to be able to make our bathroom makeover complete with new glass tile in the shower. Everything else is getting replaced this year, but had to leave the older tile until next year ($). I would also love to pick out the marble penny rounds I want for our backsplash (thanks Sarah Richardson) in the Kitchen redo that is also on the books for next year.

TILE ME! We close on our 35 year old home on Wednesday and one of our first projects is to do the backsplash in the kitchen with some tile. We cannot decide between some white subway tile, glass tile or stone tile (oh my). Too many beautiful things to choose from. I should re read your post on avoiding Decorating ADD.

We are in the process of renovating our master (mini) bath. All that’s left is tiling the shower!! I love the clean, retro look of subway tiles, while the hubby is digging the idea of rustic, yet luxurious stone. Marriage is just full of compromises… :)
Thanks for the chance…happy moving day!!
Lauren says

I love their Sandlewood tile! Just bought out first 1959 rancher and the Sandlewood tile would look SO much better than the nasty formica! Happy Moving Day!

TILE ME! I love travertine for a shower and bathroom, but anything would be better than the stick-on linoleum tiles the previous owners put on the bathroom floor. We have to replace our house’s plumbing, so we’ll be replacing all the tile in the bathroom while we’re at it!
Courtney Hightower says
TILE ME!!
I’m in love with the natural look of stone tiles. Our first home is really beginning to take on a very natural, earthy vibe, and natural stone would only add to it!

Tile Me! I have ugly brown tile all over my bathroom and want something pretty to shower in…
Laura B says
TILE ME!
My hubby & I dig the warm, elegant look of natural stone : )
Laura J says
TILE ME! I like neutral brown/tan tiles. I figure they’ll look “normal” (ie: not dated) longer. I use paint for colorful things that’s easier to switch out.

TILE ME! I’m loving subway tile and some blue and green glass tiles for our kitchen and bathroom in the new house. My hubby is deployed so I am closing on the house without him this month but as soon as he gets home we are ready to get to work! We have no tools thus far and this would be such a wonderful help!!

TILE ME!!!!! We are doing subway in or tile over Christmas break!!!!! This project has been half done for 6 months. We put up all the tiles that didn’t need to be cut and need a tile saw to finish the job. SWEET!
Amanda R says
Tile Me!!! Kitchen floor…I am thinking slate.
Laura says
Tile me please!!
I am loving the tile you used in your recent bathroom renovation – and I adore that it goes all the way to the ceiling. I have a small bathroom in a very old rowhouse that would LOVE some new floor-to-ceiling tile!!!
Angela says
TILE ME!
I’m up in the air about what kind of tile I love this month, but I can tell you what tile I *hate* – The gnarly pink that surrounds our tub and goes halfway up the bathroom walls. We inherited it from the previous owners and nothing would make me happier than to rip those suckers down. ;)
Melissa B says
TILE ME!
Right now I am loving a classic white subway tile kitchen backsplash, but instead of the classic “brick” pattern I would love it installed in a chevron pattern!
Karen says
TILE ME!!
We just moved into our very 1st house and are loving every minute of making it our own =) One project we’d love to tackle – tiling the kitchen floor and getting creative with a fun back splash. We are drooling over slate-like floor tiles … and a simple, yet stunning white subway brick backsplace. Yum!

For our kitchen the tumbled tile has always been the front runner although lately the glass tile have been giving that dream a run for the money! Of course subway tile in classic white is always a possibility too.
In our bathroom…what there is of one…natural tile floors and a surround in a new bath/shower to be are still the dream. Have had the same magazine article pinned to the bathroom wall as the “one day our bathroom will look like this” inspiration.

We live in an old farmhouse and are constantly trying to mix old and new / modern and farmish. Thus, I have been dreaming about metallic subway tile for our country kitchen backsplash for quite some time. Oh, the juxtaposition! I get tingly just thinking about it.
Melanie Walters says
TILE ME!!! Who knows where I want to start. I think that saw will be put to good use!!!
Laura c says

I have the dreaded all white porcelain tile master bathroom with white formica vanities! I would love some warm natural beige tiles with hints of aqua glass mosaics for details for the floor and shower surround! I’ve already tiled my kitchen back splash and my fireplace surround so I’m ready to tackle the hard stuff! Thanks….
