Fab Freebie: Tiles For Miles

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to see our winners!***

Today’s moving day (wahoooooo!) so we thought we’d slap up this week’s giveaway this morning to tide you over until we have a moment to post some house-related updates. Oh yeah, and it just happens to be the biggest giveaway we’ve ever done. By a long shot.

So I’ll get to the point. It was almost exactly one year ago that I first used a wet saw. It was love at first site, er, cut. And today we’re sharing the love, thanks to some help from The Tile Shop. And boy is it a lot of love to share. $3000 worth of love to be exact.

Tile Shop Beauty Shots

You guys probably already know The Tile Shop as an awesome spot for tile, tiling supplies, and even free DIY support (both online and in stores). In fact, a lot of stuff for our bathroom remodel last year was purchased there (or borrowed from my dad, who had purchased it there). So if any of you need the kick in the pants to get your next tiling job started (kitchen backsplash? bathroom update?) here it is: TWO of you are going to win a $950 gift card to The Tile Shop and a deluxe wet saw valued at $550. Who’s suddenly got tile fever?

Tile Shop Gift Card

Here are all the deets when it comes to getting your chance at our biggest prize to date:

  • PRIZE: This wet saw and a $950 gift card from The Tile Shop (valued at 3K, baby).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “TILE ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … let’s gush about tile. What sorts of tile are you loving? Warm natural stone surrounding an open shower? Glam metallic subway tile on a kitchen backsplash? Or maybe a modern mosaic on a fireplace surround?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 15th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The lower 48 United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Before we get to the winners names, everyone should know that you automatically get $20 off any order over $200 through the holiday. Not too shabby, eh?

Our two extremely lucky winners (as selected by random.org) are… Nadia (who just starting a huge kitchen remodel) and Heidi Kruger (who’s looking to do subway tile in her kitchen and to re-tile two bathrooms) Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from The Tile Shop.

TILE ME! I would LOVE this prize. My husband and I just did our bathroom floor with a borrowed wet saw a few months ago, and I was in love. Good luck with the move today!

    TILE ME!! :)

My fiance and I recently bought our first home and are working to update it all on our own! My tile obsessions currently are dark rock/pebble mosaics for the shower basin, glass tile mosaic for the kitchen backsplash in shades of light blues, greens, khakis and white, and a natural stone redo for our brick fireplace a la 1978.

    TILE ME HAPPY!
Thanks for such a cool giveaway!
We would be stoked to win such a cool prize and could finally begin
our kitchen reno- which would entail classic white subway tiles.
With the size of that gift card; sound like we could also do a lil’ tile work in our bathroom as well. Most likely we won’t win- but either way; man thanks for your hilarious, informative, budget friendly blog- it has inspired and helped us through so much of our own nesting and renovating. You guys rock!

TILE ME! I love country style tiles around the shower and bathtub. I had rented a apartment before and it had yellow and blue tiles in the bathroom, very nice!

TILE ME! We started a kitchen remodel last year. Added a bank of new cabinets (to compliment others) and a new counter top, but never got to the backsplash which we plan to do this winter. I’m loving the new glass tiles, but sig other is digging the tumbled stone. We will work it out, but this would help so much.

We moved into our first home last year and a few months later, I had a baby so our house rennos took a back seat. We are planning on re-tiling both bathrooms and the kitchen backsplash sometime this spring. We’re leaning towards the neutral oblong glass tiles.

I’m dying to do my kitchen backsplash in a classic white subway–there’s nothing there right now but drywall. I’d love to replace my boring bathroom floor with those small hexagon mosaic marble tiles.

TILE ME! Ok, so here’s the deal: in an effort to include my husband in the decision making process when we were updating our 1914 bungalow, I let him veto my all-white subway tile backsplash dreams in exchange for these mixed natural stone diamond-shaped tiles…. that we now hate with a passion. It’s probably not as bad as we think it is, but we literally SHUDDER when we walk in the room! A wet saw would save us, because my husby could feel involved and manly while cutting tile, and I can choose the perfect clean, neat, white subway tile that I’ve always dreamed of. It might save our marriage. Just sayin’.
