Fab Freebie: Tiles For Miles

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to see our winners!***

Today’s moving day (wahoooooo!) so we thought we’d slap up this week’s giveaway this morning to tide you over until we have a moment to post some house-related updates. Oh yeah, and it just happens to be the biggest giveaway we’ve ever done. By a long shot.

So I’ll get to the point. It was almost exactly one year ago that I first used a wet saw. It was love at first site, er, cut. And today we’re sharing the love, thanks to some help from The Tile Shop. And boy is it a lot of love to share. $3000 worth of love to be exact.

Tile Shop Beauty Shots

You guys probably already know The Tile Shop as an awesome spot for tile, tiling supplies, and even free DIY support (both online and in stores). In fact, a lot of stuff for our bathroom remodel last year was purchased there (or borrowed from my dad, who had purchased it there). So if any of you need the kick in the pants to get your next tiling job started (kitchen backsplash? bathroom update?) here it is: TWO of you are going to win a $950 gift card to The Tile Shop and a deluxe wet saw valued at $550. Who’s suddenly got tile fever?

Tile Shop Gift Card

Here are all the deets when it comes to getting your chance at our biggest prize to date:

  • PRIZE: This wet saw and a $950 gift card from The Tile Shop (valued at 3K, baby).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “TILE ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … let’s gush about tile. What sorts of tile are you loving? Warm natural stone surrounding an open shower? Glam metallic subway tile on a kitchen backsplash? Or maybe a modern mosaic on a fireplace surround?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 15th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The lower 48 United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Before we get to the winners names, everyone should know that you automatically get $20 off any order over $200 through the holiday. Not too shabby, eh?

Our two extremely lucky winners (as selected by random.org) are… Nadia (who just starting a huge kitchen remodel) and Heidi Kruger (who’s looking to do subway tile in her kitchen and to re-tile two bathrooms) Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from The Tile Shop.

    TILE ME!

My husband and I have recently started to redo our main bathroom and have our eye on some gorgeous glass tiles from The Tile Shop. It’s a grey/green color which we plan to use by making a vertical stripe down the middle of our shower wall.

TILE ME! Our backsplash has been untiled for over a year now! When we moved into our new house, my husband went demo crazy and ripped off the backsplash wallpaper. We have been busy with other projects that need to get done and it has sat ripped and unprotected for over a year now!! I love the metallic tiles. >fingers crossed<

TILE ME! I love so many kinds of tile! Penny and hex tiles are gorgeous and retro. I also love glass tiles in bright colors in all shapes and sizes and of course subway tiles. I’ve also seen some great uniquely shaped tiles or ones with mod patterns and I like some of those concrete moroccan tiles with colorful patterns.

I love tile so much! Favs include penny tile (we splurged pre-husband’s layoff 3 years ago for our bathroom), glass and pebble tile. I’d love to add a tile backsplash in our kitchen – I imagine something glass that will reflect lots of light since we have no windows in the kitchen and think it would benefit from bouncing light rays!

I’m in love with the natural stone in an open shower look! I stayed at a Spokane hotel once that had it and the vibe of the shower was so relaxing I felt like I was at a spa. I have a dream of a circular walk-in shower with natural stones (or even river rock on the walls)…

TILE ME!!! The “To Do” list of Tiling projects is never ending in our house. I love love love the blue/grey tones for bathrooms. We currently have very dated black and white tiling on the walls AND floors for both Bathrooms!! We are also looking to tile a backsplash for our kitchen, the floor and around the fireplace!!

I came across your blog when we recently purchased our first home. It has atrocious wood paneling in the basement and I googled how to do away with it. We’ve been using your project advice during our renovation process.

We’d love to put a new backsplash into our formerly burgandy walled, white cabinet, and off grey floor and backsplashed tiled kitchen (now green walled and black cabinet).

We looked at the Tile Shop and we’d lean toward Hera Basil or a mix of Daquiri Glass and Black Galaxy to keep our kitchen looking modern in greens and blacks!

TILE ME! I am in love with all things subway tile! We are looking to remodel our bath in the next month or two and are going to install subway tile in the shower all the way to the ceiling similar to what you guys did in your bathroom remodel. AND, when we finally get to remodel our kitchen, glistening white subway tile is definetly on my list for the backsplash.

We were just discussing a tile job we’d love to do in our bathroom, but the cost of renting a tile saw on top of the tile is crazy!
We’re thinking about Travertine for the bathroom floor. Not sure about the shower yet since we hadn’t discussed it (wasn’t in the plan financially, but $3,000 would get ‘er done!!)
