Fab Freebie: Tiles For Miles

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to see our winners!***

Today’s moving day (wahoooooo!) so we thought we’d slap up this week’s giveaway this morning to tide you over until we have a moment to post some house-related updates. Oh yeah, and it just happens to be the biggest giveaway we’ve ever done. By a long shot.

So I’ll get to the point. It was almost exactly one year ago that I first used a wet saw. It was love at first site, er, cut. And today we’re sharing the love, thanks to some help from The Tile Shop. And boy is it a lot of love to share. $3000 worth of love to be exact.

Tile Shop Beauty Shots

You guys probably already know The Tile Shop as an awesome spot for tile, tiling supplies, and even free DIY support (both online and in stores). In fact, a lot of stuff for our bathroom remodel last year was purchased there (or borrowed from my dad, who had purchased it there). So if any of you need the kick in the pants to get your next tiling job started (kitchen backsplash? bathroom update?) here it is: TWO of you are going to win a $950 gift card to The Tile Shop and a deluxe wet saw valued at $550. Who’s suddenly got tile fever?

Tile Shop Gift Card

Here are all the deets when it comes to getting your chance at our biggest prize to date:

  • PRIZE: This wet saw and a $950 gift card from The Tile Shop (valued at 3K, baby).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “TILE ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … let’s gush about tile. What sorts of tile are you loving? Warm natural stone surrounding an open shower? Glam metallic subway tile on a kitchen backsplash? Or maybe a modern mosaic on a fireplace surround?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 15th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The lower 48 United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Before we get to the winners names, everyone should know that you automatically get $20 off any order over $200 through the holiday. Not too shabby, eh?

Our two extremely lucky winners (as selected by random.org) are… Nadia (who just starting a huge kitchen remodel) and Heidi Kruger (who’s looking to do subway tile in her kitchen and to re-tile two bathrooms) Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from The Tile Shop.

    TILE ME!!! (PLEASE!!)

I am loving the small one inch by one inch glass mosaic tiles that you buy in a 12×12 sheet. I have been thinking of doing a back splash in my kitchen using sheets with burgundy, tan, brown and cream glass tiles. I NEED to win this prize :)

I am digging new tile for the kitchen since the foundation shifted & cracked a bunch of them & we only have 3 left :( I would love to re-tile the whole thing in something gorgeous!

TILE ME…..speaking of tile, I currently am on tile overload. My hubby (got to love ’em) started our master bath remodel (as if the holiday season isn’t crazy enough). So with all of this we have been looking and looking and looking at tile, hence the tile overload. We are leaning toward travertine with a glass mosaic trim, but I’m just worried of doing something too safe. With sticking to the plan, we are currently leaning toward 16×8 travertine subway tiles. BUT, WE WILL SEE!!

    TILE ME, please!

We’ve taken the Saturday tiling class at the Tile Shop and coveted their selection, but haven’t yet been able to add to our budget the many tile projects we’d like to do. We’re dreaming of a glass- or subway-tiled backsplash in the kitchen; a subway tile wall, mosaic tub surround, and hexagonal marble floor in the bathroom; plus maybe even a slate tile floor on our sunporch. Oh, and I nearly forgot the granite-tiled countertops we’d love to add to our kitchen.

My husband and I are in the middle of remodeling our 1950s ranch. One of the bathrooms is complete enough to use but the other us just an empty room. Note to self, at the next house don’t try to remodel both bathrooms at once :)
We love natural stone. We used travertine on the walls and this awesome stone mosaic tile for the floor.
Thank you guys for the inspiration!

I prefer large 1’x1′ tiles because they’re a little easier to get lay and get your lines straight (at least that’s my experience).

TILE ME! Oh this just might be my Christmas wish come true. I own a one bathroom home that has a window in the shower/bath in desperate need of a tile job and this time it’s going all the way to the ceiling! White Subway tiles maybe? Or those fab see through barely blue ones?

And when I remodeled the kitchen I left out the backsplash because I couldn’t decide. Oh how I promise to put this entire prize to a great use! To dream…

We’ve got both a kitchen and bathroom remodel coming up next year, so we’re just starting to look at all the options. Right now trying to convince my husband we should tile the shower instead of using a surround, and I’m loving the idea of a metallic backsplash in our red, black, white, and silver kitchen!
