Not only is West Elm helping us celebrate four years of blogging, they’re also celebrating the launch of their new blog Front & Main (named for the Brooklyn street corner where their original brick-and-mortar store sits). What isn’t different about 2007? I could sum it up with New Life. New country, new citizenship, new timezone, new husband, new last name, new outlook, new mindset, new house, new job, new figure, new car.

In 2007 my husband (then fiance) and I were living 8000 miles apart! Now it is an absolute blessing to spend every day with him.

The past 4 years have been some of the best years of my life – got a Yorkie, got engaged, got married, graduated from college, got a new job, got a Mustang convertible, built a beautiful house, but most importantly my brother returned home safely from a middle east Army deployment (all in that order). God has been so good to me. I have so much to be grateful for! :)

In 2007 I had just met my (now) husband. We lived in my parents’ basement and were trying to find good steady jobs.
Now we are married, own a house, and he has a good steady job.. and I only have to work my job seasonal job for the winter/spring and spend the summer/fall taking care of our home!

In 2007, we had just moved across the country and bought our very first house. We ended the year by getting engaged on New Years Eve just as the ball dropped. So, 2007 was a prety darn good year!

Let me see… Four years ago this week I met the man that would be my husband. Since then I have lived in 3 different states, 4 different residences (5 next month!)and married the man of my dreams. I would say this has been a pretty amazing 4 years!

In 2007 I graduated from grad school (may) and have since been engaged, then married, landed my first “Big Girl Job” and my husband and I have bought our first house and have become a family of three by adopting our lovely kitty! My husband is no longer in school and is also working as well! About the only thing that hasn’t changed is what cars we’re driving. Mine is the car my parents purchased for me in high school and my husband’s car was purchased just after he began college in 2001. Neither one of them were new when we obtained them, either. I think life would be a bit odd without them, not that I wouldn’t love a shiny new car!

My boyfriend and I had just moved cross country and were in our first year of film school, and living it up in separate apartments in the good old, poor-student style. Last week, we signed the lease on our first ever apartment together – and this weekend while talking about decorating I was thrilled to learn he is equally excited as me (and we have a lot of similar taste, too!)
