Fab Freebie: West In Show

***Uh oh – looks like we like we hit capacity on this post with over 10,000 comments! But this giveaway is closed anyways, so I guess it’s okay.***

It’s no secret that we love West Elm (we own two daybeds and a desk among other things from their store). So let’s just say that we’ll be mighty jealous of the person who wins this week’s FIVE HUNDRED DOLLAR gift card there (four year blogiversaries are for big prizes, after all). And not that you asked, but if you need any help picking out what to buy – might we suggest some of these lurvely items below (Sherry had trouble picking just six things, so we added an extra row and went with nine):

West Elm Moodboard

Not only is West Elm helping us celebrate four years of blogging, they’re also celebrating the launch of their new blog Front & Main (named for the Brooklyn street corner where their original brick-and-mortar store sits). Front & Main actually officially launches next week, but they’re giving all of us a sneak peek today. Oh and if you scroll down a bit while you’re there, you might recognize some familiar faces…

West Elm Blog

  • PRIZE: A $500 gift card to West Elm (!!)
  • TO ENTER: Comment on THIS OTHER POST with the words “WEST ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …since we’re celebrating starting our blog four years ago, tell us how your world is different than it was in 2007. Do you live in a new place? Have a new job? Are you in a new relationship? Or maybe you just have a new hairdo or tattoo?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, September 21st at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 50 United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We weren’t paid or perked for hosting this giveaway, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of West Elm.

In the last 4 years ago my boyfriend became my husband, we adopted two new dogs, we bought a house, and my stepson is now living with us full time. I also have a better job with more responsibility and a boss whom I adore.

WEST ME, please! For many years I have coveted their goods but it is just out of my price range.

Got married in ’07, had a baby AND moved from San Francisco to Oregon in ’08, another baby in ’10, and along the way got a new (to us) car, relocated a few times, got new jobs, and this year my daughter started pre-school! So my life is very different than it was 4 years ago. Oh yeah, and in 2011 I discovered YHL! <3

    WEST ME!

In 2007, Hubby and I lived in Wisconsin while he worked on his PhD, we rented an apartment, and I had just begun a new job working on the campus where he was a student.

Since then, I quit my job when our son was born in 2009, Hubby became Dr. Hubby in December 2010, and later that month we purchased our first house in Tennessee and moved South. Now we’re fixing up the house (and would LOVE that rectangular capiz chandelier to boost the reno work!) and about to add another baby to the family in Spring 2012!

In September 2007 we were beginning to intensify our house search, closing in on some potential candidates, and making our first offer (which didn’t work out and we’re lucky it didn’t). Since then we bought our lovely home and have been giving it lots of TLC right along with you and your blog adventure!

    WEST ME!

You could say my life is a total 180 from where I was in ’07. Then: carefree, college student, living rent-free at home, and dare I say, skinny?

Now: Army wife, married 3 years, moved 3 times, getting ready for the 4th, and a deployment on the way…we got a fur baby named Rambo, are 2,000 miles from family, and unfortunately hung on to the “Freshman 15.” :) Or wait, no, I really mean this: :( :( :(.

Let me just say that army post housing could really really use some W-Elming. It’s quite UNDER-W-Elming.

WEST ME! At this time in 2007, I was just starting my sophomore year of college in Georgia. Since then, I’ve snagged a sweet husband and a BA in English. I’ve also moved up the map, first to Tennessee and then to Kentucky. My husband and I are in the process of fixing up our new home in the Bluegrass State. We’d love a West Elm gift card to help us along!
