It’s no secret that we love West Elm (we own two daybeds and a desk among other things from their store). Not only is West Elm helping us celebrate four years of blogging, they’re also celebrating the launch of their new blog Front & Main (named for the Brooklyn street corner where their original brick-and-mortar store sits). Since 2007…lost a dear friend who was way too young, met some great people who have practically become family, got a dog, lost a dog, bought a house, got a niece, had a baby, got a another niece, parents announced their divorce, and got yet another niece – all in that order. Wow…we’ve been busy. But despite heartache and with happiness, it’s been an amazing ride.

since then we have moved four times, got that dream job, finally bought our own home, sent the husband back to school and had our son (now 21 months old). Whew – seems like a lifetime ago!

In 2007 I was turning down my now-husband’s 365th request to go on a date. That’s right…I turned him down for a whole year straight. And then on August 8th, 2007, I finally said yes.
Turns out he was right and we’ve been happily married for 18 months now. I’m glad things are different!
