It’s no secret that we love West Elm (we own two daybeds and a desk among other things from their store). Not only is West Elm helping us celebrate four years of blogging, they’re also celebrating the launch of their new blog Front & Main (named for the Brooklyn street corner where their original brick-and-mortar store sits). WEST ME! Since 2007 my husband and I are newly weds again. Not technically, but it feels that way. In late 2007, we moved his youngest brother in with us to care for him as his MS was progressing quickly. He lived with us for over 3 years, until he needed more care than we could provide. He is now in a nursing home at 40, yes, it’s so sad. MS SUCKS! But we are really enjoying this new time of just the 2 of us!

In 2007, I was starting the 2nd year of my MM degree at Indiana University. My husband (then-boyfriend) had JUST won an audition for the President’s Own marine band. I would finish my degree before moving out here to start our new lives. Hard to believe it was 4 years ago, it feels like only a few days, yet such a different life! Congrats to you!
