Not only is West Elm helping us celebrate four years of blogging, they’re also celebrating the launch of their new blog Front & Main (named for the Brooklyn street corner where their original brick-and-mortar store sits). 2007 was the year I graduated from my undergraduate and started my master’s degree away from home for the first time (did undergrad in home town). It was an extremely alternative program that involved camping EVERY SINGLE NIGHT for three semesters while traveling the country on a retrofitted school bus. It was life changing, and the person I am today is truly the butterfly version of my 2007 caterpillar self.

I’m with all of the other commenters, these past four years have seen some tremendous and happy changes: met and married my husband, baby on the way (she’s late!), quit a job, traveled extensively, got a masters degree, and finally back living in a city I love, with the most important people in my life, whom i didn’t even know four years ago.

In 2007 I was preggo with my little girl. We lived in our first house and had no idea what life would be like in 2011. I have to say that there have been lots of BIG changes. And I am loving every minute of it!

In 2007, I was living in Dallas, TX with my puppy and dating the guy I knew I was going to marry and working as an account executive at a small leather goods wholesaler. Today, I am married to that guy, we have a 17 month old son that I am priveledged to stay home with and we just recently moved to Connecticut. Pretty much the only thing that isn’t different is the puppy…who is now 5 years old, but I wouldn’t trade a bit of it!
