Fab Freebie: West In Show

***Uh oh – looks like we like we hit capacity on this post with over 10,000 comments! But this giveaway is closed anyways, so I guess it’s okay.***

It’s no secret that we love West Elm (we own two daybeds and a desk among other things from their store). So let’s just say that we’ll be mighty jealous of the person who wins this week’s FIVE HUNDRED DOLLAR gift card there (four year blogiversaries are for big prizes, after all). And not that you asked, but if you need any help picking out what to buy – might we suggest some of these lurvely items below (Sherry had trouble picking just six things, so we added an extra row and went with nine):

West Elm Moodboard

Not only is West Elm helping us celebrate four years of blogging, they’re also celebrating the launch of their new blog Front & Main (named for the Brooklyn street corner where their original brick-and-mortar store sits). Front & Main actually officially launches next week, but they’re giving all of us a sneak peek today. Oh and if you scroll down a bit while you’re there, you might recognize some familiar faces…

West Elm Blog

  • PRIZE: A $500 gift card to West Elm (!!)
  • TO ENTER: Comment on THIS OTHER POST with the words “WEST ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …since we’re celebrating starting our blog four years ago, tell us how your world is different than it was in 2007. Do you live in a new place? Have a new job? Are you in a new relationship? Or maybe you just have a new hairdo or tattoo?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, September 21st at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 50 United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We weren’t paid or perked for hosting this giveaway, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of West Elm.

    WEST ME!

Since 2007 – I got a tattoo that year (celebrating my 50th) and am living in a different house (2008). I’m also going through a divorce, so I’m starting a “new” life and also finished my bachelor degree last year (still in the same job, though). Everything is new for me!

    WEST ME!

2007 was a banner year. We bought a custom-built house in IN, got our 2 furbabies, got engaged, I lost my job, we got married, moved to CO and sold our IN house. I think we used up all of the changes since then? But, in the last 4 years, we’ve had a baby, changed apartments, changed jobs, house hunted (and failed) and are quite possibly moving BACK to IN shortly.

    West me!

In 2007 I was a sleep deprived mom of three little ones who could care less what her house looked like. Now, the kids are older, I get a little more sleep, and I’m getting constant inspiration from your blog on how to make our house feel like our home.

    WEST ME!!!

Oh my gosh, my world couldn’t be any more different today than it was 4 years ago! Four years ago I was living and working in London (and had been for a few years), my company’s dress code included skirts for women so I was freezing all the time, I was single with no responsibilities, and I could travel to Paris for the weekend at the drop of a hat. These days I live in Eastern Washington, wear pants to work every single day (skirts are dead to me), and have 3 beautiful teenage step children and the most wonderful man in the world. I couldn’t have dreamed up a better life for myself!

WEST ME. In 2007, I was a newlywed renting in walking distance to my job. Now I’m the mother of a nearly 3 year old, and we own a small organic farm 30 minutes outside of civilization. And a house that’s twice as big as our old ones, so yeah, it would take me all of ten minutes to spend that $500. Probably on picture frames to pull off something like your hallway.
