Fab Freebie: West In Show

***Uh oh – looks like we like we hit capacity on this post with over 10,000 comments! But this giveaway is closed anyways, so I guess it’s okay.***

It’s no secret that we love West Elm (we own two daybeds and a desk among other things from their store). So let’s just say that we’ll be mighty jealous of the person who wins this week’s FIVE HUNDRED DOLLAR gift card there (four year blogiversaries are for big prizes, after all). And not that you asked, but if you need any help picking out what to buy – might we suggest some of these lurvely items below (Sherry had trouble picking just six things, so we added an extra row and went with nine):

West Elm Moodboard

Not only is West Elm helping us celebrate four years of blogging, they’re also celebrating the launch of their new blog Front & Main (named for the Brooklyn street corner where their original brick-and-mortar store sits). Front & Main actually officially launches next week, but they’re giving all of us a sneak peek today. Oh and if you scroll down a bit while you’re there, you might recognize some familiar faces…

West Elm Blog

  • PRIZE: A $500 gift card to West Elm (!!)
  • TO ENTER: Comment on THIS OTHER POST with the words “WEST ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …since we’re celebrating starting our blog four years ago, tell us how your world is different than it was in 2007. Do you live in a new place? Have a new job? Are you in a new relationship? Or maybe you just have a new hairdo or tattoo?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, September 21st at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 50 United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We weren’t paid or perked for hosting this giveaway, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of West Elm.

    West Me!

We had just lost our lovely Dalmatian at age 12. We were heartbroken, but blissfully pet-free. Then we got our super-dorky-ADD Airedale. It has been a challenge.

    WEST ME!

Wow! What a difference a few years make! Here are all the things that have changed for me since 2007: an Ed.M. from Harvard, a new teaching job, 2 rescue dogs, a cat, a new home (and mortgage! yikes!), a new town, a new husband (really new! we just got married on June 4th!), my new blog, and of course a new last name!

What a great question! Congrats again on 4 years!

WEST ME! I covet all kinds of things from West Elm…currently the chunky floor mirror and niche dining buffet.

Things are very different than 2007: I have a new job that I love and my boyfriend and I bought a house together. In 2007, we moved into an apartment together in Seattle, WA and 2 months later he was sent to Bend, OR for a year. :( Here’s hoping we get married in 2012!

WEST ME!! 2011 is very different from 2007! in 2007 my hubby and i moved from a town of about 150,000 (during the college school year) to a town of about 4200. this was a huge shock for me, considering i grew up in san diego which currently has a population of 1.3 million!! since then, we had our daughter who turns 2 in 2 weeks, bought a house that we’ve owned for 6 months, and now we’ll be expecting baby #2 in april!!

My life has changed so much since 2007. I got engaged, graduated collage, got married, moved from Seattle to Chicago and back to Seattle, moved into our first house (which could use some decorating and furniture!) and we are now expecting our first little one. Life changes so much so fast, that is what makes it great and exciting!

Our life is different than it was in 2007 as we only had 2 kids and now we have 3. In 2007, we actually were blessed with a ‘surpise’ pregnancy since we thought we were done with two kids. But that little guy has absolutely completed our family.
