Not only is West Elm helping us celebrate four years of blogging, they’re also celebrating the launch of their new blog Front & Main (named for the Brooklyn street corner where their original brick-and-mortar store sits). So much has happened since 2007… I’ve survived a deployment where my husband went to Iraq and back, got married, moved to a big city, got a college degree, have a big girl job, and now own my own house. It’s amazing what happens in four years!

In 2007 I had just had my first child, a little boy. We had just moved to Madison from the east coast. My mom had just been diagnosed with cancer (she passed away the next spring). 4 years later we’re still happily living in Madison and have another little boy in our family.
