Fab Freebie: West In Show

***Uh oh – looks like we like we hit capacity on this post with over 10,000 comments! But this giveaway is closed anyways, so I guess it’s okay.***

It’s no secret that we love West Elm (we own two daybeds and a desk among other things from their store). So let’s just say that we’ll be mighty jealous of the person who wins this week’s FIVE HUNDRED DOLLAR gift card there (four year blogiversaries are for big prizes, after all). And not that you asked, but if you need any help picking out what to buy – might we suggest some of these lurvely items below (Sherry had trouble picking just six things, so we added an extra row and went with nine):

West Elm Moodboard

Not only is West Elm helping us celebrate four years of blogging, they’re also celebrating the launch of their new blog Front & Main (named for the Brooklyn street corner where their original brick-and-mortar store sits). Front & Main actually officially launches next week, but they’re giving all of us a sneak peek today. Oh and if you scroll down a bit while you’re there, you might recognize some familiar faces…

West Elm Blog

  • PRIZE: A $500 gift card to West Elm (!!)
  • TO ENTER: Comment on THIS OTHER POST with the words “WEST ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …since we’re celebrating starting our blog four years ago, tell us how your world is different than it was in 2007. Do you live in a new place? Have a new job? Are you in a new relationship? Or maybe you just have a new hairdo or tattoo?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, September 21st at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 50 United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We weren’t paid or perked for hosting this giveaway, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of West Elm.

    WEST ME!

A lot has changed since 2007, but the highlights are passing the bar exam, moving back to my hometown and buying our first house. It’s been a great 4 years!

    WEST ME PLEASE!!!!!!!!
ok first of all i thought i was seeing things. a west elm give away?!!! be still my WE addicted heart. I actually keep a WE catalogue by my bed side as i dream of decorating our new home and i can always find inspiration there. It is so bad that my husband recently asked me to visit the library for some “deeper” reading. while my bank account may not be able to support my shopping cart full of goodies i can’t help but dream and wish and sigh.

let’s see..how has my life changed since 2007?? to keep this short i will list the highlights: new puppy, another new puppy, daughter about to head to college and break my heart, new job, promotion, but the big news is the purchase of my first home with the man i was married to, then divorced for ten years, now back together and happier than ever. that is it in a nutshell!!

Come to mention it, I’m grateful when you post things like this morning, because I’m one of those “look before you leap” type of people and it’s nice to see what a typical blog day looks like.

    WEST ME!

In 2007 I was living it up in college! Now, with a full time job and a year before I enter medical school, most Friday nights are spent watching Jeopardy and drinking a glass (or bottle) of wine! Times have certainly changed!

WEST ME! Not much is different, but in 2007 I didn’t have a daughter in college…here is some unsolicited advice – start Clara’s college 529 now! We did the prepaid tuition thing (you can’t go wrong with Va colleges) and it has been a blessing! (No, I don’t work for the 529 people) :)

Oh, 2007…what a year. I was a freshman in college rocking a boy haircut and living the dream as a dorm resident.

Now, I have long hair, a real job and somewhere to live in which my shower stuff doesn’t share a shelf with my ramen noodles. And, yes, I am still eating ramen noodles as a 23 year old…sooo good.
