Fab Freebie: West In Show

***Uh oh – looks like we like we hit capacity on this post with over 10,000 comments! But this giveaway is closed anyways, so I guess it’s okay.***

It’s no secret that we love West Elm (we own two daybeds and a desk among other things from their store). So let’s just say that we’ll be mighty jealous of the person who wins this week’s FIVE HUNDRED DOLLAR gift card there (four year blogiversaries are for big prizes, after all). And not that you asked, but if you need any help picking out what to buy – might we suggest some of these lurvely items below (Sherry had trouble picking just six things, so we added an extra row and went with nine):

West Elm Moodboard

Not only is West Elm helping us celebrate four years of blogging, they’re also celebrating the launch of their new blog Front & Main (named for the Brooklyn street corner where their original brick-and-mortar store sits). Front & Main actually officially launches next week, but they’re giving all of us a sneak peek today. Oh and if you scroll down a bit while you’re there, you might recognize some familiar faces…

West Elm Blog

  • PRIZE: A $500 gift card to West Elm (!!)
  • TO ENTER: Comment on THIS OTHER POST with the words “WEST ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …since we’re celebrating starting our blog four years ago, tell us how your world is different than it was in 2007. Do you live in a new place? Have a new job? Are you in a new relationship? Or maybe you just have a new hairdo or tattoo?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, September 21st at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 50 United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We weren’t paid or perked for hosting this giveaway, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of West Elm.

    WEST ME!

Oh my goodness how things have changed since 2007! Our one year daughter is now a 5 year old who we learned has some autism going on about 6 months ago. She now gets all the help she needs and we understand her struggles much better which makes this momma happy! She also has a two year old sister that didn’t exist in 2007, and since the birth of our youngest daughter my husband started staying home with the kids. Life is good!

    W.E.S.T M.E! This is amazing!

Since 2007, I think the biggest change is me really taking school seriously. I re-enrolled this fall and am finally graduating THIS year (well, 2012), instead of my original date, 2009. I’ve been through a long, tumultuous journey, but I’m finally committing and I’m so excited!

I could use the money to collect some finishing touches for our kitchen — the last project on our home remodel list. Thank heavens! Over the last four years, we’ve painted the entire house (some rooms twice, including ALL — and I mean all — the trim, redone closets, installed lights and removed a 13-foot wall ‘o mirrors. I’d like to request a head examination for whoever thought a floor-to-ceiling alternating pattern of regular and amber colored mirror with faux gold trim was a good idea. Yikes!

In 2007, we lived in a 9th floor, rented, two-bedroom apartment and I watched lots of HGTV and dreamed big. Now we have a house and yard, not enough time or energy to do everything, and I read your blog while dreaming big about all the things I could do if I had more time or energy.

In 2007 my husband and I had a 4 year old and a 2 year old. We were living in an old house with a wet, moldy basement. Now our boys are 8 and 6 and we’re living in a brand new house that desperately needs decorating. This gift card would sure come in handy :)

    WEST ME!

In 2007 I was living in Chicago (Lakeview neighborhood) with my best girl friend that I met in college. Everything was super girly and the furniture was mostly hand-me-downs from family. Now I’m living in DC with my boyfriend in an apartment we moved into 3 weeks ago and is in some SERIOUS need of redecorating. Who knew living with a boy meant you can’t have all your girly things…and that they’d want to hang football things everywhere :)
