It’s no secret that we love West Elm (we own two daybeds and a desk among other things from their store). So let’s just say that we’ll be mighty jealous of the person who wins this week’s FIVE HUNDRED DOLLAR gift card there (four year blogiversaries are for big prizes, after all). Not only is West Elm helping us celebrate four years of blogging, they’re also celebrating the launch of their new blog Front & Main (named for the Brooklyn street corner where their original brick-and-mortar store sits). Since 2007? Woah, everything! I had my first child in 2007 and my second in 2008! They are now 4 and 2 (almost 3) and completely different than the cute little babies they were that long ago! Beyond that, we moved to a new City, bought a house, I changed jobs a couple times, finished my degrees and am working on my Master’s degree. The last 4 years have been great!

In 2007 I had just moved from a small town in Maryland to New York City. I was learning to love the hustle and bustle of city life… a love which quickly faded. In 2009, I took a chance and moved to Seattle, which is where I still live today. Just over two years later and I’m still in love with this city!

West Me… I started 2007 dealing with infertility and applying for graduate school. The same week I was accepted to grad school I found out I was pregnant and ditched the schooling idea because I was due the same week as my first finals were to be. Since then I’ve quit my job, had the baby, bought a house, and am now dealing with infertility again… Maybe I just need to apply for grad school again so I can get pregnant ;)
