Fab Freebie: West In Show

***Uh oh – looks like we like we hit capacity on this post with over 10,000 comments! But this giveaway is closed anyways, so I guess it’s okay.***

It’s no secret that we love West Elm (we own two daybeds and a desk among other things from their store). So let’s just say that we’ll be mighty jealous of the person who wins this week’s FIVE HUNDRED DOLLAR gift card there (four year blogiversaries are for big prizes, after all). And not that you asked, but if you need any help picking out what to buy – might we suggest some of these lurvely items below (Sherry had trouble picking just six things, so we added an extra row and went with nine):

West Elm Moodboard

Not only is West Elm helping us celebrate four years of blogging, they’re also celebrating the launch of their new blog Front & Main (named for the Brooklyn street corner where their original brick-and-mortar store sits). Front & Main actually officially launches next week, but they’re giving all of us a sneak peek today. Oh and if you scroll down a bit while you’re there, you might recognize some familiar faces…

West Elm Blog

  • PRIZE: A $500 gift card to West Elm (!!)
  • TO ENTER: Comment on THIS OTHER POST with the words “WEST ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …since we’re celebrating starting our blog four years ago, tell us how your world is different than it was in 2007. Do you live in a new place? Have a new job? Are you in a new relationship? Or maybe you just have a new hairdo or tattoo?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, September 21st at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 50 United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We weren’t paid or perked for hosting this giveaway, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of West Elm.

    West Me, please!

I am a fairly new reader and I love what I see. One day, I hope to also have my own blog, but a few things need to fall into place first, namely a house.

Since 2007 I graduated from college, moved to Chicago, got married, got a masters, a dog, a new job, and have become obsessed with mid-century design. Yeesh.

    West me, please!

A lot of things are different from 2007. This time in 2007, I was about to turn 18 and now I’m about to turn 22. I have the same wonderful man by my side and we are currently going through our own home renovations and decorating.

Thank you so much for the inspiration and very happy blogoversary.

My life is soooo different from 2007. I’m married, have a 6 month old little baby, I’m almost done with my PhD, I’m in the middle of a move! And I’m looking forward to finally owning my own place to put all your decorating tips to good use! In 2007, I was just finishing up my college. Wow! Times sure have changed.

My life is different because now my youngest daughter is now healthy and thriving. We also built our current house and have been in it just a few weeks over the 4 year mark so it has really changed and evolved. It’s fun to watch the progress. We should’ve taken pics like you guys.

Since 2007, let’s see. My mom died, I got married, I moved countries, started a new job, am leaving said job, and the cat is now middle-aged. :)

Congrats on four years in this space! (Even though it’s a newish one, both in real life and on the interwebz.)

    WEST ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Holy beans, this might just be the best giveaway EVAR!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have a board on Pinterest that is chock full of things I want to buy at West Elm.

In 2007 I married my awesome husband John. We adopted our dog Lucy and purchased our first home. In the four years since I gave birth to our twin girls, lost my job, lost our first home (still going through that awful experience) and found out one of our girls is autistic. Now, I know that sounds super sad, but to be honest I think it was all meant to be. Not our daughter being autistic but the rest of it. We are happier where we are now and being forced to move put us in the best school district to help our Gracie with her needs. Now I call that a great reason to lose your job and home. Plus, I just started a new blog and re-opened my photography business. So, all in all this four years has been tough but we are exactly where we should be. We look forward to the next four!

And this is way too long of a comment for this giveaway. :)

In Oh Seven I was a junior at Texas A&M (whoop.) and finally out of a dorm and into a “3” bedroom townhouse. I got the questionable third bedroom with no window! It was about 9×9 ft of napping heaven! My roomies and I painted the kitchen cabinets cranberry (from a horrid sad grey) and one wall in the living room pink!
