Fab Freebie: West In Show

***Uh oh – looks like we like we hit capacity on this post with over 10,000 comments! But this giveaway is closed anyways, so I guess it’s okay.***

It’s no secret that we love West Elm (we own two daybeds and a desk among other things from their store). So let’s just say that we’ll be mighty jealous of the person who wins this week’s FIVE HUNDRED DOLLAR gift card there (four year blogiversaries are for big prizes, after all). And not that you asked, but if you need any help picking out what to buy – might we suggest some of these lurvely items below (Sherry had trouble picking just six things, so we added an extra row and went with nine):

West Elm Moodboard

Not only is West Elm helping us celebrate four years of blogging, they’re also celebrating the launch of their new blog Front & Main (named for the Brooklyn street corner where their original brick-and-mortar store sits). Front & Main actually officially launches next week, but they’re giving all of us a sneak peek today. Oh and if you scroll down a bit while you’re there, you might recognize some familiar faces…

West Elm Blog

  • PRIZE: A $500 gift card to West Elm (!!)
  • TO ENTER: Comment on THIS OTHER POST with the words “WEST ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …since we’re celebrating starting our blog four years ago, tell us how your world is different than it was in 2007. Do you live in a new place? Have a new job? Are you in a new relationship? Or maybe you just have a new hairdo or tattoo?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, September 21st at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 50 United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We weren’t paid or perked for hosting this giveaway, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of West Elm.

    WEST ME pretty please!

In 2007, I was a junior in college, so I’m glad to say that much has changed! Between the new ‘grown up’ job, evening law school, and moving in with my man, it’s a tad bit busier and crazier than it was 5 years ago, but we are thankful for all we have.

PS. I also just moved into a lovely new apartment three weeks ago that could really gain a lot from a West Elm shopping trip :)

West me! In Sept 2007, I was less than a month away from my wedding to a great guy. 4 years later, I have a new job, and live in a new (to us) house that I love updating, and we have an 18 month old daughter that we love to bits!

    First off, Happy Blogiversary!

    Second off, WEST ME! (please)

Four years ago, I was beginning a HUGE adventure. Moved to New Orleans in August 2007 to take a job in the NBA. Ironically, and by some stroke of faith, my boyfriend landed his dream job in the NFL in NOLA as well (we’re both still in those respective jobs) and we moved in together after only dating for 8 months (eek!).

Thankfully, it worked out because we’re now married. 2007 was a pretty big year!

    WEST ME….

So much has changed for me in the last 4 years. In 2007 I was a junior in college and looking forward to starting my career. Since then ive graduated, landed a job, married my high-school sweetheart, moved & lived in 3 different states, my husband joined the military… Drastically changing our lives and now after 13 months of trying, we are expecting our first little bean :) (a girl). We’ve also spent way too much money at West Elm over the last 4 years as I too am obsessed. :)

Between 2007 and now, I went through a total collapse of the company I worked for. No severance, no vacation, just….get your stuff and get out. Over 400 people, jobless in 1 day.
It made me realize that though I still strive to do a good job at my current job (that I am lucky to have!) I won’t ever let my job override what is important in life-my family. Because companies come and go, but family is forever.

In 2007 I was in Connecticut, and I just moved to Virginia Beach this December. (We moved at the same time.) This might sound tooootally corny but my new decor is sort of inspired by your first house. (I’ve been reading 3 years!) The funny thing is you guys went bold, which my old place used to be, and for I went with a beachy, airy feel with lots of white. Go figure! Love ya guys and happy bloggiversary.

Two bouncing baby girls came into my world since 2007 — not both at once, but back to back. I’ve since left my corporate job and am embracing full-time parenthood of two under two – a world filled with laughter, half-finished house projects, sleep deprivation, toys strewn all over our house and two shining smiles that look up at me each and every morning.
