I loved the day in the life post! It made me think of how different my daily life is from 2007. My fiance and I were just starting our relationship in 2007 and now we’re planning a wedding. We also didn’t have our two Chihuahua mixes back then.

I wasn’t married in 2007 and my now wife and I were only living in our house for less than a year at this time. We’ve made some big changes that we know were the rights ones since we’ve been there 4 years now! Most notably our wraparound front porch addition this summer.

2007 feels like it happened in another lifetime. Since then, I graduated college, earned my first of two graduate degrees, moved out on my own for the first time, and then moved again into my first house, gotten 2 kitties, gotten married, had my first teaching gig, had my first consulting gig, gained ~15 lbs (that part isn’t too fun), etc, etc.

My life is completely different from what it was in ’07. I was just finishing grad school and writing my thesis in and had started working at my current job. I was hoping to marry my now ex boyfriend (who I dumped after 8 1/2 years in 2010). This past year I bought a house, a new car, and have a new man who adores me.
