It’s no secret that we love West Elm (we own two daybeds and a desk among other things from their store). Not only is West Elm helping us celebrate four years of blogging, they’re also celebrating the launch of their new blog Front & Main (named for the Brooklyn street corner where their original brick-and-mortar store sits). In ’07 I was living in Northern California, working as an economics consultant and my boyfriend of 3 years was sort of living with me. Fast forward to ’11: We moved to DC, I started & finished law school, I married said boyfriend, husband totally changed careers, I started working as an attorney, we bought a house and baby #1 is due in 3 weeks.
Wow, a lot can change in a span of 4 years.

to say a lot has changed, would be an understatement. i graduated college. followed my heart and moved 1500 miles from PA to the Rocky Mountains. got engaged. bought a house. adopted a labradoodle. lost my dad. got 2 new jobs since the move. & im happy :)

In Sept. 2007 we were celebrating our first anniversary in our third house. After renovating two handyman specials, we found an old colonial that that ticked many of the boxes. We’re still busy making this house ours and I’m constantly inspired by your projects.

The best change for me is our new dog Zoey that came into our life in 2009. She is a rhodesian ridgeback mix and we adopted her from a local shelter. I just love her to pieces – she has changed my life for the better! <3
