It’s no secret that we love West Elm (we own two daybeds and a desk among other things from their store). So let’s just say that we’ll be mighty jealous of the person who wins this week’s FIVE HUNDRED DOLLAR gift card there (four year blogiversaries are for big prizes, after all). Not only is West Elm helping us celebrate four years of blogging, they’re also celebrating the launch of their new blog Front & Main (named for the Brooklyn street corner where their original brick-and-mortar store sits). In 2007 I was celebrating my 2nd anniversary (this week) with just me and my husband at our old farmhouse. Flash forward to 2011 and we now have 3 kids (it was a busy 4 years) and a new subdivision house- which we’re currently trying to remodel and get around to decorating.. hence my need for some shopping action at West elm! :)

Wow, 2007 was like a whole different world for me. I hadn’t even met my now-husband, owned a different house, lived in a different state, worked in a different field, had a crazy-long commute (now I work from home and do everything possible to get out of driving anywhere at all), had one dog and one cat (now we have four dogs and four cats), and had never heard of YHL. A lot has changed: )
