It’s no secret that we love West Elm (we own two daybeds and a desk among other things from their store). So let’s just say that we’ll be mighty jealous of the person who wins this week’s FIVE HUNDRED DOLLAR gift card there (four year blogiversaries are for big prizes, after all). Not only is West Elm helping us celebrate four years of blogging, they’re also celebrating the launch of their new blog Front & Main (named for the Brooklyn street corner where their original brick-and-mortar store sits). Wow, 2007… Back then I was the mother of little kids and a just teen, had just moved to the US (again) and was , it seems, considerably younger. Now I have 3 teenagers and a pre teen. But coming up to a year of owning and renoing our first EVER house, and that has been so much fun. Love your blog btw.

WEST ME! Let’s see…in 2007 I was working full time, living in a different city, had a few great danes, and no kids on the horizon…now I have two kids, one great dane, old house in new place, and stay home with the kids. Little different.

My life hasn’t changed too much since 2007, in general. The main difference is that I have traveled and seen some new places: California, Italy, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, England, and Switzerland, to name a few! Other than travel, which I love, I live in the same home and am married to the same man! We are redecorating our living room this fall, though, so this gift card would be very timely. :)

Since 2007 I moved my family of 3 (me+husband+toddler) to Australia (the dog had to stay state-side :( where we became a family of 4. Moved back to our home in California in 2010; started renovation + landscaping project (still v.much in progress); older son started kindergarten a few weeks ago; bought a total-fixer bungalow as an investment property (in aug); now just starting “new job” as Total Home Renovator (I’m a marketer by profession) – Wish me luck!
