Joss Me! My luckiest find lately is Pinterest. I know that sounds silly, but it is so nice to be able to define your household style by searching around the net, your computers downloads and pictures files etc, in order to create a board that is just the style you want. It is awesome to have it all in the same place and be able to categorize your decor style.

Joss me!!! Luckiest home improvement moment was inheriting a solid oak pedestal table from my great grandmother. It lived in our house when we were growing up and it was well loved…colored on, stain worn off, scratched up. My husband restored it and its beautiful. Now if only I could find some amazing chairs to go with it:)

Some families go camping, others cook big feasts or play cards. My family trades furniture! So I always have plenty of free options to furnish our home which is why our changing table is a dresser that my dad grew up with, our buffet my uncle built and so and so on.

Our luckiest home moment was getting into our first place in Southern Cal. I looked at it hours after it went on the market, and, unbelievably, it was in our price-range & in pretty great shape relative to the others we could afford. We made an offer within hours only to be told there was a competing offer. We were thrilled when ours was accepted! I like to think it was because we met the older couple that was selling the home, and they seemed charmed by our oldest (who was then our only and was two-yrs-old)! He really turned on the charm!

Our luckiest home improvement is about to happen very soon! We decided to rent our home out after a year of labor, to move onto our other house that is currently being rented (not for long) to renovate the entire house! (or most of it). It’s going to be a challange for us both as we learn the tricks of the trade and celebrate our one year anniversary of marriage! You blog will be our inspiration and help, we’re excited!

We were so lucky to find our first home. It was across the street from a home that our realtor showed us but was for sale by owner. We made some calls and got it on our own–even with 3 other pending offers! It is extremely lucky for my husband that we were able to close on the house since he PROPOSED to me in that very house after he made the offer!!

When moving into our wallpaper covered home, we were lucky enough to have the entire wall of wallpaper going up the stairway to pull off easily in one piece. This was a huge relief after the two days we spent scraping away at the layers of wallpaper in the bathroom. Life is about the simple pleasures, right? :)

    “JOSS ME”

My luckiest home moment was finding our first place. I got about midway up the stairs, looked back at my significant other & said “this is our house”. 6 months after house shopping (& countless creepy foreclosed homes) we found one that was in perfect shape (including brand new-labels & all appliances). Today makes exactly six months since we moved in, I still fall in love when I walk up those stairs :)

In our house, any project is lucky if 1) the house doesn’t get filled with water 2) it gets finished within months of the proposed end date and 3) it doesn’t result in an even more expensive ‘fix’!

don’t have much to say about this kind of luck, but here’s some awesome “apartment luck”…I just moved out of my old apartment where my wife and I had painted all the walls…aaand they had told us up front that the paint fee started at $350, so we were expecting a large “final bill”, but instead of having to pay hundreds of dollars (which seems to be common when moving out of apartment complexes), they actually wrote us a check for $60. to this day, I still don’t understand it…JOSSEY!
