My luckiest house moment was finding our recliner sofa on sale for $800. We had looked at similar models for around $1300 and were extremely happy to find it at a salvage warehouse for $500 cheaper. It’s one of our favorite pieces of furniture!

My favorite finds are always ugly duckling mid-century pieces found at a rummage sale. The latest one is a sewing desk, still on the to-be-refurbished list.

My luckiest home-affiliated moment was actually going to see my home when it was on the market! It was pouring rain and I was told the place was out of my budget…but on a whim I went anyway!

And it’s a good thing I did because it ended up being THE house…and THE house happened to be UNDER my budget, too!

Luckiest is also the latest. We got an unsolicited offer on our condo, just days after a quiet drive through the neighborhood of our dreams. Our place wasn’t on the market, and moving was nuts. But we feel very, very lucky to have sold in this market and bought the house where we’ll become a family.

My luckiest home moment was during our first day of house hunting– ever. We pulled up to our GORGEOUS house-to-be and I was immediately in love, love, love! It gets better- the previous owners had an old car sitting in the drive way. A very old car. A 4-door 1949 Buick Roadmaster sedan kinda old. Did I mention my husband is a mechanic? We bought the house (and the car!) and while talking to the neighbors discovered that the neighbor across the street works for the National Hot Rod Association and the neighbor next to him was 2 days away from buying our gorgeous house when we put in our offer. It was totally our lucky day!

My luckiest moment….During the process of finding my first home w/ my husband; my husband and I had two failed offered- we were outbid 1 time and the 2nd time, the owners was very uncooperative; it was such a difficult process and we lost alot of hope! but after awhile of nonstop searching and looking- my husband and I found a house, this time our offer was accepted! Our house wasn’t a move-in condition like the other two houses that we had put in offers for, I was a little skeptical bc I knew it was going to require alot of work, but it’s been two years now and I am sooo thankful my husband and I settled for a house that needed improvements, bc we’ve made alot of changes to the house, making it more fitting to our taste and style! After two failed offers, my luckiest moment was owning a home on the 3rd try! <3

My luckiest deal was our house! Period! The floor plan was perfect for a family room for the kids/hubs with a living room that I can always keep clean and teach piano lessons in. The rest of the floor plan is adorable, and the backyard is a-maze-ing! It already had a bball hoop/court (fabulous for the kids to ride bikes on), a beautiful lawn, and a HUGE garden area that is FULL of fresh veggies right now!

    Luckiest Home Moment (so far):
When the A/C drain partially flooded the 1st week in our first and present home, the vinyl tiles all started to peel up in the path of the water. The best part is that we wanted to replace them anyway, so in a way, the a/c drain leaking… everywhere… turned into a positive!
