The luckiest item I have for my home are an awesome pair of danish modern chairs from my grandmother. She almost lost them when a tree fell on her house during Hurricane Katrina (no one was hurt), but now they’re mine and the perfect shade of turquoise. Lucky indeed!

JOSS ME!!! My luckiest homeownership moment was when our the appraisal on the house we were going to buy came in $25,000 less than expected – they dropped the price by $25,000 and sold it to us anyways! :-) Nothing like dropping your mortgage payment by around $300 a month!
However the lovely home we purchased is definately a work in progress – so this would be a big help!!!

The luckiest thing that has happened to me is inheriting a beautiful side table with ornate carved doors from my grandparents. It is very sentimental, and it looks gorgeous after being sanded and painted glossy white.

Luckiest home improvement story is falling for a home that’s exterior had been painted(entirely) high gloss peach. Nobody gave it a second look because of it but my husband knew it was just paint and pointed out how perfect it was otherwise. We almost doubled our square footage from our first home and bought it for only $50,000 more than we had sold our first home for. Been a project ever since but well worth it.

JOSS ME! Best moment (don’t really believe in “luck” but divine intervention/guidance), was finding a home that is absolutely perfect for me through a string of unusual occurrences. So crazy when I think about how one thing led to another (that led to another…) that resulted in my sweet & pretty (1st & only) home in a quiet tree-lined neighborhood when the original occurrence that started the string of events had nothing at all to do with home ownership! Kinda mind-blowing.
