Our luckiest home improventment moment was getting a GE Profile Dishwasher from a coworker! Lucky for us her sister was remodeling and gave this to her but it didn’t work with her kitchen so she was looking to get rid of it quick and for free :)

Joss me! Living in a different state we had 2 days in town to house hunt. After day 1 and 21 houses later left us worried we’d be renting again, day 2’s first house was perfect. Old and quaint, with lots of diy projects we could handle, we hoped we could afford it. Put in an offer and after several negotiations, finally landed our 1st home in a great neighborhood that we love. We feel like luck was on our side with our new old home!

My hubs is out of work and we’ve been in our new place for about a year, so don’t have much $$ to decorate and we desperately need some rugs for our soon-to-be crawler. Our town has great garage sales, and two weeks ago I scored an 8×10 wool/jute rug from Pottery Barn that they still have on the website for $80!!

I don’t really have a lucky moment but I have an unlucky moment does that count? I went to the store to get paint so I could paint my girls’ playroom. When I got home from the store and opened the car door to get the paint out of the back it fell out of my car and broke open ALL OVER MY DRIVEWAY..the entire gallon :( I think I need some joss (luck) around here ;)

Joss me! My husband and I had lived in our house for about 4 years before we realized that we had beautiful hardwoods in every single room of our house. The previous owner had covered it up with renters beige carpet. We tore the carpet out the day we found it and gush about our hardwoods on a daily basis now!
