Joss me please! My incredibly lucky home improvement find has been a pier1 dresser $400 off the original price which we are, thanks to your wise and awesome inspiration, turning into a double vanity. Luckily, it seems to be in the cards for us to overhaul our entire bathroom, because everything we have purchased so far has been on sale from the tub/shower unit to even the paint! Cannot wait to see our finished product- thanks for all the inspiration!

We are feathering our 2-bedroom rental nest which was a huge stroke of luck to find when we were about 7 months pregnant. We were planning to make do with our one-bedroom rental which we loved living in, but then the rent was going up and it wasn’t going to be such a good deal anymore with an expanding family. We looked and found our current place two blocks away in the neighborhood we love, in a price range that’s a really good deal for the two bedrooms to accommodate the size of our little family.

We’re in the middle of moving from one big city to another. Our house has been on the market for a couple months, but my husband and I both have jobs in our new city and we have child care lined up for the little one. We were planning to move in with my parents until the house sold, and Friday was our last night in the house we love so much. Right before we started our bedtime routine with our one year old, I got a call from the realtor that said we had an offer!! Phew! Nothing like sweating it out until the very last day!

JOSS ME!!!! I got pretty lucky when we went to a yard sale down the street from me. We almost didn’t go in because it looked kinda junky. However, I found some AWESOME blue mason jars for $1, some AMAZING frames that just needed a wee bit of spray paint, and some other awesome “farm stuff” that I can’t wait to repurpose! WOOP WOOP!

Our luckiest home moment was when after a year of living in our house, we finally turned on the irrigation system “that was only in the landscaping” (according to the previous homeowner) and finding out that it was throughout our entire yard! No more dragging the sprinkler and hose around. I think we just stood there and watched in amazement for a good 10 minutes!

Our house went under contract in two days (we were prepared for months), so we were lucky to find our dream home the same day we went under contract. Two months after we closed, we are still just as happy with the house as the day we found it.

The luckiest house moment was how we “found” our house. We rented our condo for a year, and when the new homebuyer credit spurred us on to buy our first place, we loved it so much that we asked if we could buy it from the owner. The lucky part? We bought it for about $20,000 under market – amazing!

My husband and I just had the best lucky moment ever last week! We’ve really been wanting something for our living room as a “home entertainment center” – just like some chest of drawers or something – ANYTHING would be better than the ugly beat up stand we did have – but we can’t afford one. Then last week, we were at a thrift store looking for shorts for my husband and I turned around and BAM – there it was! The most perfect stand – it was in the style we love (60’s mod), in great condition, and the perfect type of dresser-thing (we think it used to be an accompanying piece for an office desk) that we didn’t even have to fix up or adjust to make it work with our stereo stuff. And it was super cheap – only 30 bucks! Best. Day. Ever.

I can’t say that our current house is my dream house but it was a lucky find. My in-laws were watching my kids while I was out with a realtor looking at houses. When I returned I saw a for sale by owner sign in the yard of our house that wasn’t there before. We looked at the house that night and made an offer the next day. The day after that our offer was accepted. We live in a great neighborhood…my in-laws live close, my husband can walk or ride his bike to work every day and it is walking distance to everything we might need! What a find!

My luckiest home improvement find was a rug for the living room. Was originally priced at $150 and was a discontinued style that should have been removed from the store’s sales floor. But since it was still on the floor they had to sell it for the lowest price in the computer $17.98. Yippie!
