Probably the luckiest thing to happen to me was that I was not accepted into a School of the Arts for my senior year of high school… which caused me to meet my husband (yes, we are high school sweethearts).

JOSS ME! The luckiest we ever got was selling our house FSBO in a down market in a month above what we expected to the nicest guy ever. When we accidentally sent our christmas gifts to our old address from Amazon, he mailed them overnight and refused to let us pay him back : )

My luckiest moment was when, after spending countless hours in the store looking at furniture and whatnot, I got a job at Pier 1. The best part? I got 25% off of every purchase I had made right before I got the job (practically my entire living room)!

My husband and I were just talking last night about how we finally have to buy some furniture and work on making our apartment feel more like home.

I think my luckiest moment was when I bought a non-refundable couch a few years ago without measuring the wall space first. The couch fit with literally less than 1/2″ on either side. Talk about bad planning.

My luckiest- thats hard. I’ve been pretty lucky thanks to good ol’ craigslist, but my best would be the antique curvy dresser we scored from my husband’s grandparents when they sold their house and downsized. They were going to throw it away. Most of these things are going for a pretty penny now days

I think the luckiest ‘home moment’ I’ve had was when I found the perfect bowl at Target.. but couldn’t stand paying over $50.00 for it. When I was on my weekly Goodwill run later that week, I found the same bowl for only $7.99!!!

JOSS ME! I just closed on my new house today and have been freaking out for quite some time about certain ‘perfect’ pieces. However, my parents were cleaning out their closet and gave me a great dresser (now TV table) that I was able to paint plum. It was FREE and looks perfect.

Luckiest home improvement would be my recent epic trip to houston when I fell head over tea kettle in love with this wooden patio set from ikea. Sadly I had flown in but one of my friends drove in. She didn’t know if her car’s back seat folded down but that didn’t stop me from wishing and praying the flat pack 85 lb box would fit. AND IT DID! I owed her a solid for driving it back for me and made her my best pasta and wine dish and we celebrated our friendship on the back porch on my new awesome patio furniture. VICTORY!!

My luckiest home improvement moment was getting our game table from my grandmother. She no longer had room for it and offered it to me. It’s a great round low table she got in Japan that has pie shaped seats that slide underneath it. I always get compliments on it.

JOSS ME …please!our luckiest moment was getting a tip that this house was going on the market-or might not even make it there- as a quick sale. it was a freezing, snowy, night in December and in the dark we looked at it! we out bid quite a few others and got the house 2 weeks later. its good to know people and we are so lucky because it never made it officially on the MLS or even open to the general public.

JOSS ME! I bought my first new piece of furniture (I’m a grad school student, coming straight out of college) at a great deal. A clean-lined club chair in a neutral-but-textured fabric was the floor piece at a local furniture store going out of business so I got it for around 75% off. I would love to win the e-spree for a new coffee table or an accent chair and some decorative interest pieces.
