I am lucky and I inherited some lovely furniture from family – a dining room set and antique halltree. I also found my bed when Storehouse went out of business – great store closing, floor sample sale for a bed in perfect condition!

Our luckiest moment in home-related life is finding our current house. It wasn’t even on the market, but we found out that the sellers were interested in selling it because our best friends live across the street. We got a great house and now live close to our friends!!!

My luckiest moment – a neighbor moved and left me with an old armoire. I refinished in a deep espresso stain and got new knobs…looks like a million bucks and it was free! No one who steps foot in our dining room would have any idea!

JOSS ME!! My lucky moment would be discovering blogs last year while I was bored and pregnant. I wasn’t happy with the way our house was decorated but we didn’t want to spend a lot of money on decorating it with our own little bean arriving soon. Blogs quickly talk me the value of a sewing machine, thrift stores, spray paint, and DIYing!!

JOSS ME!!! My greatest deal was in Germany – they did not have the used stores available, so they threw out furniture on “bulk pick up nights”. My friends and I got the schedules and went furniture shopping. I got shoe shrunks, a dining room buffet, china hutch, 2 chairs, end tables and so much more. It was fabulous!

Joss Me. Our luckiest moment was shen we found an old oak phone booth door at a flea market. We were able to cut it down to make into our pantry door. After a lot of stripping… it was a conversation piece in our 80 year old kitchen.

We are new to our home and needed extra panels of existing curtains for the living room (they match a vera bradley rug that isn’t going any where any time soon) I had scored the panels originally at Christmas Tree shop over a year ago. So you can only imagine my ‘luck’ when they had 2 more panels for our new home.

We inherited some huge, heavy side tables that have doors for storage on two sides. even though they are enormous, we have always been able to find a spot for both of them in our (sometimes) tiny apartments. (Personally, I think if you can store stuff in it, it’s worth finding a spot for it)
