Our luckiest moment was when my parents bought a house for us to rent from them for way under market value! We live in a 1200 sq ft house for less than some one bedroom apartments go for in our town!

My luckiest home item was shortly after I moved from a two bedroom to a studio apartment, I needed a new coffee table for my smaller space. I was walking home one night (in DC) and a random man on the side of the road was selling the perfect table! I bought it for $15, and he helped me carry it home. I still have the table, but now that I’ve moved back into a two bedroom home, I’m using it as a side table.

My luckiest moment was in buying our house. It was the first house we looked at, and we didn’t really love it, but made an offer on it anyway–and lost out. Months later, after looking at many, many other places, we started thinking about this house again…and it was back on the market!

Our luckiest moment was finding this house! We were set to look at a bunch way inland since nothing at the coast was in our price range. Then this house popped up that very morning…our bid wasn’t the highest but the original owner liked us the best! It is perfectly in the middle between where we had our first date and where we had our wedding reception!

I got pretty lucky when this hutch and shelf i had been drooling over in a Penny’s catalog finally went on clearance, so i ordered it and then missed the call to come pick it up so they marked it to send back, and they couldn’t re-order because it was then out of stock…so i went to the store and had the lady check in the back and lo and behold it hadn’t shipped back yet, alas I got my dream hutch.

Joss Me! I grew up with my mom’s dresser that she had as a little girl. It had been painted white, with yellow wooden knobs. When I graduated college and was about to move out on my own into Chicago, I decided to take the dresser with me, but make it my own. I stripped it down, stained it a cherry color and bought silver knobs for it. I plan on passing it to my child whenever we decide to start a family. I feel like it’s lucky that my mom chose to put that dresser in my room and not my sister’s. :-P

JOSS ME!!! My luckiest moment was buying our house. We were about to buy a home I liked but wasn’t in love with. Our realtor thought we should go look at one more house that was about to go on the market. I instantly fell in love and were able to strick a deal since it wasn’t on the market quite yet. I’m so glad I didn’t settle on the first house!
