My moment of blessedness happened a couple months ago when my husband came home with some extra cash after fundraising for a trip he went on. He came home and asked me how much I needed for the couch that I had my eye on. I told him the price and he showed me the extra cash and said it was for the couch. It felt so good to be surprised that way and to be able to pay for a couch with cash. ;)

I found a lamp I looooved on clearance at Target, I wanted a pair, but it was $12 and I was in love, so I just bought the one. Just last month (about 2 years since finding that lamp, which was still my fave!) I found it’s twin at Goodwill. For two dolla. I still think about it and smile!!!

My luckiest house moment was finding the house of my dreams. We looked at about 15 houses in one day, and the minute we saw the last one, we knew that was it. And just in time too…we only have 45 days until we had to move out of our house that we had sold!

My luckiest find was my house. Almost 1400 square feet on a triple lot. The clincher was the fact that it has a fully fenced in yard (we have five dogs, so this was a must)… all this for only $49,900. An elderly couple owned it, so the inside is VERY outdated, but everything is structurally sound. Now, if I can find a great deal on a wall oven and cook top (the one that came with the house is probably 50+ years old), I would be totally ecstatic.

Joss Me! And I just had my lucky moment on Saturday!!! I have been looking for a buffet type table for my laundry room and just haven’t found the right piece. I was taking my daughter to my mom’s the other day and there was a garage sale across the street. Then, it happened. I spotted my buffet table! On top of that, I was able to get it for $60. My luckiest moment…my aunt was holding an estate sale that included some really high end furniture. At the end of the sale a beautiful little gold loveseat was leftover, and she just gave it to me. I’d never be able to afford a piece this nice–I’m in the cheapest-couch-at-IKEA budget range normally. I actually have some really great memories of sitting on this loveseat back when the original owners were alive, and I think it’s good luck to have it my living room.
