JOSS ME! PLEASE! I love this site and check it daily :) We got super lucky when we bought our house. We loved it the second we saw it, made an offer, and were outbid by other buyers. Just when we started to give up on this little house, the other buyers pulled out and it was ours!

Suddenly we stumbled across a beauty and its soon to be all ours! You guys are a huge inspiration to us and we can’t wait to get on the DIY ball!

JOSS ME – No, I still haven’t found the house of our dreams yet. This is my third house so far. Two ranch styles in Florida, and one Victorian row house in Pittsburgh. The current house where I am living is going to be for 2 or 3 years, until we sell our house in Florida (yes, I’m carrying two mortgages). My dream house is a craftman style house with 4 bedrooms 2 1/2 bathrooms. Probably two story. Front porch and back porch in a beautiful area. I do not ask for more.

I think my luckiest find was a vacuum that normally retails for around 1,500. I had been wanting one for ages but couldn’t justify spending that much. I finally found one in great condition, with all the attachments, for $20. at a yard sale. score!

My moment was this past weekend when I painted our foyer ceiling a warm gold (which was looking “scary mustard” to be honest with ya) then I layered on some gold glaze over the top of it & it absolutely looked like sunshine. It’s gorgeous and the hubby loves it too.

Joss Me! I was dropping the kids off at school one day, turned up the street, and there I saw it! My dream house was for sale! I called my husband, we grabbed the kids out of school, and met the real estate lady. The sign had gone up on Sunday afternoon; we saw the house on Monday morning and bought it, right there, immediately. Its been 10 years now, and we all love this great Victorian house.

My luckiest house-moment was a true lemons to lemonade moment. When my husband and I moved from NY to FL, the movers scratched the heck out of our kitchen table (the top looks like Wolverine took a few swipes at it). However, I was able to salvage the legs and make an adorable shutter-top console table (http://ana-white.com/2011/06/shutter-entry-table) for our front hallway!
